Cars! The comfort and status that bring cannot be disputed. People can often know the kind of person you are simply by looking at your vehicle. It doesn't matter which car you own; your car always says something about you.

Brief History of Cars
The early history of automobiles can be broken down into eras based on the principal means of propulsion; later it was centered on the exterior styling, size, and utility preferences. In simple terms, at the early automobile age, the main aim was to manufacture a machine that can move people and goods from one place to another, then later on luxurious facilities were added to make it comfortable to use, repair, maintain as well as making spare parts more readily available. 

For so many years, some set of cars stood out due to their price, durability, maintenance costs, interior and exterior designs, availability of spare parts and so many other factors. These cars were crowd-pleasing then and remain the people's choice till this day irrespective of the inventions of other cars. 

For all car enthusiasts here is the list of top ten best-selling cars of all time from 10 to 1;

    10. Chevrolet Impala (14)
Chevrolet Impala was invented in 1957, and it dominated Sedan almost immediately before spreading across the globe like a wildfire, the primary market is the United States of America. The model of this car has well over 10 generation. This car is streamlined to enhance speeding. It kicked off as two large doors coupé but has been improved over the years.


    9. Volkswagen Passat (15.5)
This is a German brand that has been selling hot since 1973 the can has undergone many changes in its versions. The major change is the name in some countries where the different version was Santana, Corsair, Montagne, Carat, Quantum, and Dasher. The model was in its sixth generation as at 2013. Despite the fact that it has gone through a lot of changes, it remains one of the best-selling family cars in the world.


     8. Ford Model T (16.5)
This is one of the cars that made the brand Ford globally accepted, and the ‘T’ model was the model that made up more than half of the vehicles in the world in the 1920s. The large scale production happened from 1908 to 1927. However, it took a plunge in 1927, losing to Beetles as the best selling car. Coming at a relatively low price, it made almost everybody in America a car owner when it hit the market. The Ford Model T was unanimously named the world’s most influential car of the 20th century in an international poll.


    7. Honda Accord (17.5)
The Accord (17.5) was a mighty achievement for Honda most especially in the United States. It was debuted in 1976, and more than 10 million units were sold. 

The Accord which has gone past its 8 generation comes in trimming; sedan, coupe, hatchback, and crossover. In 2014, the company made an electric hybrid Accord. It is a reliable and affordable car, was initially released as compact before being transformed to Sedan. This is the first car the Japanese produced in America.



    6. Honda Civic (18.5)
This classic car was launched in 1973, and subsequently sold 18.5 million units having 7 million in the just United States. A little ahead of its cousins, initially a two-door car before further improvements was made on it. It won a car of the year award back to back for three years and kept the company in business.


    5. Ford Escort (20)
This was a vintage car manufactured by the Europeans from 1968 to 2000. A new version was produced by the North Americans in 1981, and the production continued till 2003. It ruled the automobile industry for over a decade regarding sales. Though the production stopped for a while, new ideas later came up, and it became a more fuel-efficient car.


    4. Volkswagen Beetle/Fusca (23.5)
Without a doubt, this was the first most prominent car in the world, and it was launched in 1938, and the production didn't stop until 2003. In 1997, a new version was released into the market, but this wasn't as successful as the old version, so the company relaunched the Beetle (A5) in 2012. It is still said to be one of the cutest cars ever. The redesigning in the 1990s made it look sleek and funky, it featured in a Disney movie that same year. The Beetle is the oldest vehicle in this lost of best-selling still in production till date.


     3. Volkswagen Golf (27.5)
It keeps taking the best car of the year award. It was made by the German automobile company since 1974. The Golf reached its seventh generation back in 2013. It was nicknamed "The Rabbit," because of its simple shape.


    2. Ford F-series (35)
The F-series pickups are undoubtedly the most sold trucks in the world. The production started back in 1948, and the cars have been dominating the market for six decades now. The F series has stayed on top of the list of best-selling series in the United States of America for the past 24 years. It was the best-selling car in 2011 and one of the most fuel-efficient on this list.


    1. Toyota Corolla (37.5)
The Japanese-produced car has been in this position since 1977. It has ten generations with the first released into the market in 1966. After going through numerous redesigning, Toyota Corolla continues to stay comfortably at the top of this list. It is fuel efficient, durable and reliable; the spare parts are just about anywhere in the world for purchase.

No matter how fuel efficient, durable or reliable any of the engineering masterpieces are, the person driving any of them can make the fantastic qualities of these cars totally useless if you don't drive properly.
