12 Easiest Languages to Learn


Learning a language is not easy and the effort and time involved in speaking a foreign language may be discouraging.
 From pronunciation to vocabulary, and the verbs, learning a different language is time-consuming and frustrating.
However, there are some languages that are easier to learn.
The easiest languages to learn are;

 Dutch

The first cousin of English language, Dutch, is full of different English cognates, for instance, kat (cat), drinken (to drink), licht (light), week (week), and lots more. Once you master the basic fundamentals, you will be ready for smaller conversations and the children’s books.

      Tagalog

The Philippines language, just like Dutch is a place where speaker of Spanish and English can easily learn with ease. Everyday items are similar or the same with the Spanish words. Within a short period, it can be grasped.

     Haitian Creole

Students who have learnt French language or are native French speakers can easily learn Creole. Haitian Creole is one of the French creoles, and is made up of lots of French vocabulary mixed with native flavors of this new world.

        Spanish

Spanish is the go-to language for most Western learners as it has a small inventory of sounds as well as an easy phonetic spelling system. Spanish always sounds like English (with an accent mark), and a lot of learners appreciate this fact.

    Japanese

Japanese has gotten bad PR amongst language learners. However, its pronunciation is remarkably simple. Out of its 19 consonants, just a few are rare among other languages, and the five vowels it has are oddly similar to those found in Spanish.

     Italian

It has more vowels than the Spanish language, but Italian language big advantage is that a lot of its vowels and consonants are the most common sounds which are in world languages. This means most learners will not find many words they cannot speak easily.

     Afrikaans


We mentioned the Dutch language above, but the Afrikaans is a grammatically boiled-down model of its parent language. It’s a lot easier to grasp within a short period.

    Mandarin Chinese

Nearly every word of the Chinese Mandarin has a single meaning. It also follows a subject-verb-object order, common to a lot of the world’s languages, so there is no new tricky syntax for learners.

      Malay

The Malay has no grammatical groups for tense, gender, or number. Basically, students can learn a form of one word, and can use it anyway they want.

       English

This one is a bonus and is easily the quickest to learn and some may believe it is difficult. However, English language is intertwined in almost every language and this makes it a quick one to learn.

      French

Apparently, the French language has influenced over a third of the vocabulary of English. From experience, the language French is a lot easier to speak and may be more difficult to write because of all the endings and grammar. In a short while, French can be picked up without any stress.

1  Esperanto

The language was fabricated late in the 19th century and made to be easy to learn as well as use. It rare, but easy to speak.
