  • Contact Dermatitis: The skin rash triggered by allergy or skin irritation. Contact dermatitis may be triggered by allergy-causing substances or irritating substances that come in contact with the surface of the skin. The rash that contact dermatitis causes can appear as skin bumps, red skin, blisters, sores, scales, or crusts. Itching is common.

  • Prevention
To help prevent rashes, identify and avoid things that irritate your skin and use only lotions and cosmetics that have hypoallergenic compounds.
Other methods that might be useful include showering at least twice every other day and using warm water rather than hot water. Also use gentle cleansers instead of harsh soaps, and practice patting the skin dry rather than rubbing.
Learning some relaxation techniques such as yoga and meditation can also help reduce stress as it aggravates many kinds of rashes.
