Elio Motors - Three-Wheeled Cars By Elio Motors Now Available For Pre-order
Elio Motors began pre-orders for the beautiful E1A. The EIA is a small three-wheeled & two-seated car. The money for its production was crowd-funded with the whooping $25 million via Start Engine back in 2015. As at when it started in 2015, the company claimed that the price of the car would be around $6,800; on retail, in recent times, however, the pre-orders for this Elio three-wheeled car started at $7,000. This price of $7,000 is just for those interested in the base model of the car.
As part of a strategy to get more sales, the company has no fixed rate on delivery yet.
Elio Motors board insist that anyone who intends to make the pre-order of the car from the company must sign an ever binding agreement.
Anyone interested in this “binding commitment” offer from Elio Motors for the car, will be made to pay in a nonrefundable $7,000. The commitment ties all those ordering so they can’t change their mind after making their pre-ordering. They have no choice but to purchase the car no matter how much delay comes with it.
Those Interested in the second offer will also have to sign a form that ensures they will accept the vehicle irrespective of the time it will be put up for sale. Within the second agreement, the car would sell at $7,300.
Although the second deal is also non-refundable, it does not bind or commit the customer on like the previous one. The two pricing models will remain valid till the Elio Motors get to the predetermined reservation figure of 65,000.
With the pace, engineering designs and materials calculations, the company will have to continue selling at $7,300 for the non-refundable pre-orders until they hit 65,000. This price supports their mission of providing the cheapest vehicle on a global market.
We are not yet certain if Elio Motors will take the price up after the planned milestone. Currently, the company has gotten to about 56,000 pre-orders on the vehicle, and the price is likely to change once it gets to the 65,000 target.
The company has offered all customers who fall within the “refundable” agreement the opportunity to switch over to the “non-refundable” reservation. On the event that they accept this offer, they are liable to enjoy other fringe benefits like;
• A 25 percent bonus on the reservation.
• A sticker on your bumper.
• A one in a million limited edition T-shirt.
The refundable reservation holders have a good advantage over the non-refundable reservation holders because they have the exclusive privilege of getting the first batch of the car, and also have the privilege of getting their deposit sum back if they decide to end their reservations.
