Green tea kiwi and mango is an energy giving drink which is both fruit based and plant based.
This smoothie is a healthy breakfast which provides the body with the necessary vitamins and nutrients to an individual before they start the day. The ingredients such as mango and green tea are both antioxidants and help clean the skin and also fight free radicals. Green tea is also known to contain vitamin A, B1, B2, C, E and K along with other trace minerals. It is also rich in fiber to aid digestion and prevent constipation, giving you a full feeling to avoid overeating.
The green tea kiwi and mango smoothie is colorful and has a bright yellow color from mango on the lower part of the drink and a light green color on the top from the green tea. These exotic colors make the smoothie more enticing to drink and more delicious too.
Ingredients
21/1 cups of diced mango
¼ cup of honey
¾ cup of vanilla yogurt (fat-free)
Two tablespoons of water
Three ripe kiwi, peeled and quartered
½ teaspoons of grated lime
½ cup of baby spinach
Kiwifruit slices(optional)
Two tablespoons of bottled green tea.
Method
Place the mango and half the cup of yogurt, with two tablespoons of water with the lime rind in the blender and allow it to process until it is smooth. Divide this part into four glasses and keep in the freezer.
Place the remaining ¼ cup of the yogurt, kiwifruit, green tea and two tablespoons of honey in the blender and process until it becomes smooth. Turn the mixture of the green tea into the earlier mango mixture. Serve and drink.
